How do you make a GIF Banner in paint.net?

I really need to learn how to make one. Please help me out?How do you make a GIF Banner in paint.net?
Just open new image and make what you want. Then when you save as, choose the gif format. If you are talking about an animated gif, you can't do that in paint.net. You CAN make each individual frame for an animated gif in paint.net, but you'll need animation software to put it together.
