How do I put two separate pictures together on paint.net?

I have these two pics that i want to paste together side by side but i don't know how to do it.

Open both pictures and also open a blank canvas. Use the rectangle tool to select the first image, copy and paste on blank canvas. Do the same thing for the 2nd image and copy /paste it on the blank canvas. You may have to do a little moving around with the 2nd image to position it the way you like. Hope this is what you were trying to do.
